His appreciation and commitment to Los Cabos have made him an original founder to Colegio Picacho as he believes that nothing is more important than family, knowledge, and education. He is proud to share that he can possibly visualize an architect in one of his younger grandchildren and it is a pleasure to visit his construction sites and watch him mesmerized by architecture.

Along with his great friend and Engineer Miguel Angel Arce with whom he worked with for over 25 years and built thousands of square feet, Arch. Martínez has designed more exquisite luxury homes in Cabo than he would have ever dreamed of; natural stone, play areas and fountains inspire his creations, along with the influence of timeless contemporary Mexican architecture.

His successful career includes his collaboration as Project Director for LEGORRETA ARCHITECTS, the remodeling of Camino Real Hotel in Puerto Vallarta and Cancún, the IBM Manufacturing Plant in Guadalajara, the Banamex Casa de Bolsa as well as the restructuring of the Camino Real Salon after a fire, the Industrial´s Club in Mexico City and the Banamex Finance Center in Monterrey.

Almost ready to go along with the rest of his day he picks a bottle of red wine from his 1,000 bottle wine cellar collection, he tells us he believes that life is meant to be lived at its most as he quotes his 96-year old mother “The only bad thing about life, is that it´s too short”.

One of his day activities after his retirement consists of waking up to enjoy the sunrise and shoot around 150 pictures of it and share five or six of them on social media. As he and his wife celebrate thirty-eight years of happy marriage, he is not shy about sharing the love and respect that he feels towards his beautiful wife, together they have traveled the world and have acquired a wonderful collection of art pieces from around the globe; they are now looking forward to conquering the Baltic Sea on a last memorable cruise.
Architect Federico Martinez Garcia is a well-respected and cherished celebrity in local Cabo architecture and we look forward for many more years of his style and inspiration.
